Is there a doctor in the house?

Dr. Spencer English is in the house!!! He is modeling the scrubs that Grandma Lorrie got for him. He looks so grownup!

Andrew David Zahner

Andrew David Zahner was born Friday, September 21, 2007 at 3:50 AM. He was 6 pounds 11 ounces and 19 1/2" long. Mom Joanne is doing great, and dad Andrew is very proud! Drew is a very beautiful and handsome boy!

Weekend with Grandma and Grandpa

Grandma and Grandpa came to visit Spencer (and us) all the way from Michigan. This was the first time they met their new grandson.



We spent Saturday at the Inner Harbor in Baltimore. It was a great day. It was around 75 degrees and very sunny. Spencer had a good time because he loves being outside. Aunt Julie and Aunt Cindy were being crazy in the USS Constellation museum :-)


Spencer wanted to dress up for our BBQ on Sunday so he requested to wear his outfit of all trains that Grandma Lorrie bought him. Train hat, train outfit, train socks, train shoes....... He was stylin' yet again!

He was so cute so I had to include both pictures. At one point, he had his thumb in his mouth and was holding his blankie / burp cloth with his other.

Ukrainian Festival

We went to the Ukrainian Festival in Baltimore this past weekend. It was very hot, but we had a great time. The food was fantastic and very inexpensive. Spencer loves being outside so he was very happy for most of the day, especially once we found a shady spot to hang out. He watched the trees blowing, the dancers dancing, just looked at everything. Aunt Julie took Spencer home and let us enjoy the rest of our day without worrying about him overheating.

Play group today

We had play group today, and we have a new member. Caitlyn is 5 weeks younger than Spencer, and I think she is his new girlfriend. He is leaning on her while his previous girlfriend, Kirsten, is leaning on William. The first picture is Spencer demonstrating his good slouching skills in Kirsten's Bumbo. He has one at home but hasn't spent a lot of time in it yet. I think his legs will be too big for the holes soon, so he'll have to drape his legs over the end so he doesn't get stuck :)

The second picture is the first I took of the group (L to R: Luca, William, Kirsten, Spencer, Caitlyn). Kirsten is the only one who is very unhappy. Until the end of the photo shoot (see the last picture). Spencer is the only one still hanging in there.

This was the last play group for all members for a while. Concetta is going to Germany for a month to visit family, and I will be returning to work. Spencer will be able to attend next week's play group, but that will be his last one for a while :-( I'm hoping that we can do an evening group or a weekend once in a while to keep Spencer with his friends.

Kitty in the Jungle

Chessie likes Spencer's play mat almost as much as he does! She sleeps on it almost every night while we are watching TV. Obviously, she won't go near it when Spencer is on it :-)

Just like Daddy

The outfit Spencer is wearing used to belong to his Daddy. Matt actually wore this jumper when he was a little baby. It is so fun to see Spencer wear it now.

Spencer had his 2 month checkup last week. He is healthy and doing well. He weighs in at a whopping 15 pounds 5 ounces! He is a big boy! He didn't like the 4 shots he had to get. He was unhappy for a few days after his appointment.
