Mealtime

I'm getting pretty good at using a fork to eat now as long as someone else stabs my food for me. I think the spoon will be the next thing I try. Mama isn't ready to give me a knife yet for some reason!

Ukrainian Festival

We went to the Ukranian Festival again this year...and I tried my first potato pancake. It was pretty good. I liked watching the dancers and running all around Patterson Park.

New Word

I learned a new word recently...COOKIE. It is my favorite word because it means that I'm going to eat something yummy!

New...

My newest achievement is getting up on the couch all by myself. Mama wishes I did not learn this new thing because now she has to hide the remotes that she used to put on the couch out of my reach.

Last Hurrah

Mama and Daddy took me to the pool during Labor Day weekend as a last hurrah.
I liked coming close to the streams of water, even though it was really cold!

Trip to the Zoo - Take #2 (Baltimore)

Mama and I went to the Baltimore Zoo with Aunt Julie and Cousin Sadie.
It was another hot day at the zoo.
Did you notice that I am modeling the nice panda t-shirt that I got at the DC zoo?
Sadie was thirsty in the heat so we had a take a break. (Don't worry, I wasn't crabby yet. Well, maybe I was.)
This is Samson, the new baby elephant. He is hanging out with his mama.

This is one of the funny monkeys that we saw. There was one monkey that really liked me for some reason. I was in my stroller, and the monkey was following me through the glass. When Mama moved me to another area, he would come over and look at me some more. Cute!
This is my first ride on a carousel horse. Grandma Pat and Grandpa Phil took me on one once but I think I sat on the bench and didn't actually ride the horse. I got a little scared though and had to have Mama sit down with me until the ride ended.
Phew, it was a busy day at the zoo. I napped on the way home in Aunt Julie's car.

I'm a Busy Boy! (aka I like to get into everything!)

Helping Daddy load and unload the dishwasher is one of my favorite chores right now. Sometimes I am a little rushed though and don't let Mama or Daddy actually put the dishes in before I slam the door closed!
Another one of my favorite things to do is to take the cereal boxes off the shelf and try to get into the boxes. I don't usually get too far with that adventure before someone stops me.

Reading Books

I like reading books that have different textures like this book that Mama bought me.
Grandma Lorrie got me this cool book that must be homemade. It has little things that tuck into pockets.

Trip to the Zoo - Take #1 (DC)

Mama and Daddy took me to the National Zoo in DC. Mama was meeting a friend of hers from high school, Heather, and her family.
It was a hot day, but it was nice to meet new people. We weren't there for very long, but we did manage to see a few animals.

Out for a Walk

I like to go for walks to the mailbox in the evening with Mama and Daddy. Everything is so interesting, including the neighbor's trash can.
We're almost home now. Just a little bit more...
