Dutch Wonderland 07.27.12

We surprised the kids with a trip to Dutch Wonderland...on a school day no less!

Daddy & Spencer got a speeding ticket for going 7 mph in a 5 mph zone.

Kate needed some help getting her train around the track.
Spencer had no trouble with his train.  [Tilt your head sideways to see the picture.  I'm too lazy to redo it.]
Clang clang clang went the trolley...ding ding ding went the bell!
For the 2nd year in a row, Kate LOVED watching the frog prince/princess diving show.  She kept calling it "her show."  Too cute!  We sat in the "splash zone," and this picture was taken about 1 minute before we got totally soaked!
Spencer LOVED riding the Sky Ride which was just a really slow ride to move you from one end of the park to the other.  The bad thing was that Kate was too short to ride it, so one of us had to walk across the park to meet Spencer and the other parent on the other side.
Look Mommy, it's Duke the Dragon!  (A sighting from the train ride.)
The kids (and Daddy too) had a great time feeding the duckies, or "rubber duckies" as Kate called them.
Kate was too scared to actually ride a horsey on the carousal, but she would sit on the bench with Mommy.  I was surprised at how fast that thing went.  No wonder she was scared!
Self portrait from the top of the Sky Ride.
Look Spence, it's Mommy and Kate down below!
Waiting for the train to come through at the motel.
Believe it or not, we stayed at a caboose motel where we actually slept in a  train car!  It was so cool!
Here is the inside of one of the bedrooms.
The obligatory picture of us entering Dutch Wonderland taken by their photographer.
Getting ready to leave the motel.
Our train car for the night.
